Are you aware of the new resources that highlight the need to plan ahead for people with dementia?
New online resources are now available to help aged care staff highlight the importance of planning ahead for consumers, particularly those in the early stages of dementia.
Palliative Care Physician and academic Professor Meera Agar led the project, which was Funded through the National Health and Medical Research Council’s Cognitive Decline Partnership Centre: “It is important to have a professional health and aged care workforce who are knowledgeable and skilled in helping older people plan ahead,” Professor Agar said.
The resources are hosted on the Alzheimer’s Australia website.
